Tactile Aid Systems

Tactile aid systems work by providing stimulation to the skin which corresponds to speech. Tactile aid systems are primarily used by profoundly deaf children who receive no benefit from hearing aids. Cochlear implants are now often used instead of tactile aid systems in profoundly deaf children.
