The Oral Deaf

There are numerous deaf adults who are oral, and they typically do not consider themselves part of the Deaf culture. Since they typically are mainstreamed into society, it may be hard for parents to locate oral deaf adult role models. Contact the private oral schools for the deaf in St. Louis for possible referrals to their alumni. Oral deaf adults can also be found at the A.G. Bell Convention.
